I believe that:
Children learn best when they feel safe, heard and respected.
Singing with children is transformative and is a powerful tool for learning and growing. Bringing kids together with their families to sing is one of my favorite things to do.
Through the shared musical experience, we transform into a community.
My sessions are spaces for self-expression, imagination and discovery. Child collaboration makes the experience rich and meaningful. Each experience unique to the children and families participating.

About Me
I’m Julie, and I have a passion for bringing children and families together to learn, grow, sing and connect.
I earned my master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Bank Street College and a second master’s degree in social work from the Fordham Graduate School of Social Service. I’ve been teaching in the classroom for 10 years and working with kids in camp and in other settings for many before that. I take pride in having strong classroom management and being attuned to the social-emotional needs of children knowing how to implement developmentally appropriate strategies to help all children learn, have fun and be successful as who they are.
I love music and I love bringing music and people of all ages together.
I offer interactive sessions for children that facilitate social-emotional skill building, executive functioning abilities and body regulation tools. I cultivate a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where children and families feel comfortable to learn, grow, connect and have fun together!
